Having had a great time last summer cruising the Greek Isles we have decided to return, criss-crossing the path of Ulysses along the way and with a special extension over to the more exotic Eastern Coast of Turkey. As ever, there will be classical ruins to wander amongst, local taverns for sampling the Mediterranean cuisine, and the limpid waters, good sailing, sand and sea of a summer holiday on board.

We will leave Elba in mid-May for an early June visit to the Aeolian Islands--perhaps the fabled "wandering rocks" of Ulysses, as well as the Cyclops' hideout. Then we'll pass through the Messina Straits (with a possible glimpse of the legendary monster Schylla and the churning vortex of Charybdis) before heading over to the Ionian and a visit to Ithaca, Ulysses' homeland, and the surrounding islands. The magical isle of Circe is also said to be located among this group and with their blue waters, white sand beaches and pine-scented interiors you can see why. Afterwards, we'll either transit the tourquoise waters of the Corinth Canal or follow around the Pelopponisos coast--avoiding the 'Laistrygones' who preyed on Ulysses!--and continue into the wine dark seas of the Aegean for July. August will find us exploring the mysteries of the East with the intriguingly indented Turkish Coast, its pine-fringed islets and magnificent ancient monuments. In September, we'll again pick up Ulysses' trail through the Sporades before cruising down into the Southern Aegean on our way back to Elba.

There will also be some excellent early and late season cruising on the way to and from Greece in the southern regions of Italy. Malta is also a possibility if anyone's interested.

Please remember that this is a general itinerary and somewhat flexible, depending on bookings.
