The Region

Croatia's rugged coastline and extensive chain of islands are dotted with small fishing villages and the occasional historic town, which make for an almost endless variety of experiences for the cruising yachtsman. En route, we will also explore lovely Corfu with her fabled Ionian sister islands, as well as the endlessly enchanting shores of Italy.

Corsica Anchorage

Early Season

In April and May we will start from Elba, Corsica and the islands of the Tuscan Archipelago. Uncrowded harbours and open seas can make you feel like you have the whole of the Mediterranean to yourself.

June

South of Elba we have the option of cruising the Pontine Islands, the bay of Naples with Ischia, Capri and Amalfi, and the Aeolian Islands including the volcanoes of Stromboli and Vulcano, and the charming towns of Lipari and Salina. Late in the month we transit the Messina Strait for the Greek Ionian Islands.

Bay of Kotor

July

With stories from the Odyssey to the cinematic backdrops of recent years, Corfu, Ithaka, Cephalonia, Levkas and Paxos all deserve a visit. We continue on to Montenegro and the intriguing inland seas of the Gulf of Kotor.

August and September

From the sparkling, blue-green seas of Dubrovnik to the crystal cool waterfalls of Krka near Sibanik, the waters of Croatia are spectacular. They encircle the verdant islands of Sipan, Korcula, Hvar and Brac with their countless sheltered anchorages and delightfully unspoilt villages; not to mention the gentle sailing breezes along which you glide to reach them.

Corfu

October

Last chance to enjoy some excellent late season cruising as we return home to Elba via Corfu, the Messina Strait, the Aeolian Islands and the Bay of Naples. Also a good opportunity for logging a longer sea passage with night sailing experience for those doing Yachtmaster certificates or those interested in astro navigation.
